I was sent to Apex yesterday afternoon to check on an accident involving a dump truck. I get there and am shocked to see what appeared to be remnants of a car sticking out from under the dump truck, which had apparently tipped over. Shortly after my arrival, the EMS crews began putting up tarps to keep the gathering masses from seeing whatever happened to be left of the car's driver. I didn't think there was any way the driver could possibly be identified, nevertheless alive. I found out today that both the driver and passenger survived and will be ok, and that the driver of the dump truck is being charged with reckless driving.
