Since my car was totaled back on the 13th I've been looking for a replacement vehicle. I was approved for a loan that I believed was adequate to get me a car I wanted instead of a car I was simply willing to settle on. Because of my size and my occasional desire to haul some drums, I decided I wanted a bigger car. I narrowed it down to a Dodge Magnum or a Chrysler 300. I found some of each in my price range so I began to investigate further.
First I went to check out a black Magnum in Cary. Leah found it online and I thought it was sharp. When I got there I was told there was a deposit put on it earlier that day, and that they'd call me if the guy's credit didn't process. In the meantime, I checked out a white 300 in Cary with comparable miles and price. I liked it and was most likely going to make an offer the next day, until I got a call about the Magnum. The guy's credit didn't go through, so the car was up for grabs. I showed up the next morning, took it for a drive, and decided I loved it. I had my mechanic check it out (he gave me his seal of approval) and that was all I needed. I went home with the car. I can't say I'm not happy with it so far. I have an appointment on thursday for them to detail it, check (and replace if necessary the timing belt), and fill it up with gas. I'm going to also mention that they need to fix the cruise control, something that I didn't realize was faulty until I got it home.
